Making Figure Skating Accessible for All
Founded by Team USA figure skater Ryan Hu, Bladebond Foundation is a nonprofit for figure skaters. As a coach for Learn to Skate, Ryan recognized the critical need for skating gear among beginners and how financial challenges can hinder talented skaters. Thus, the Bladebond Foundation was born to ensure that every aspiring skater can pursue their passion without financial barriers.
Our Mission
Our mission is twofold:
- We collect and donate gently used skating equipment to help beginners take their first steps on the ice.
- We sell high-value used skating gear at local rinks and online, with proceeds going to provide financial assistance to competitive skaters in need.
Join Us
Currently, we serve at 5 U.S. Chapters in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Delaware. End of 2024, we expanded to Melbourne, Australia with 2 more chapters. We commit to expanding our reach as we grow. Join us in our mission to make skating accessible to everyone!
