Ryan is a dedicated junior high schooler. His love for skating began at the age of 9 in Melbourne, Australia, where, despite the scarcity of skating resources, his determination was evident. Waking up at 4:30 a.m. every day to train before school, Ryan demonstrated a remarkable passion and discipline from a young age.
After relocating to Philly, Ryan trained as a singles' skater at the Skating Club of Wilmington, under the expert mentorship of Olympian coach Viktor Pfeifer and acclaimed choreographer Irina Romanova. In 2023, Ryan made the exciting transition to ice dance, partnering with Michelle Deych and joining forces with the world-renowned coaching team led by Igor Shpilband. Their hard work and synergy paid off when they captured second place in Novice Ice Dance at the 2024 U.S. Figure Skating Championships. During the 2024-2025 season, they shone in the National Qualifying Series (NQS), secured a coveted spot on Team USA, and proudly represented their country at their first ISU Junior Grand Prix in Latvia.
Beyond his dedication to skating, Ryan enjoys immersing himself in the world of literature, experimenting with intricate culinary creations, and is fascinated by the dynamics of the stock market.
For Ryan, skating offers an exhilarating sense of freedom—like soaring through the air. He is deeply passionate about sharing the joy of skating with others, especially aspiring young skaters. Ryan aims to spread his enthusiasm for skating worldwide by engaging in community service.
